Violet The Therapy Dog

This is Violet in her garden. She is enjoying a sunny afternoon in late August 2024.

Violet is a Shih Tzu. She weighs about 17 lbs. She is white with brown patches on her back with darker brown markings around her eyes and ears. She is playful and loving and isn’t afraid to give kisses. Violet loves everyone- especially children and seniors. She admits she can be bribed with dried liver treats and her guilty pleasure is hot dog wieners.

Her favourite colour is purple. She has a purple bed, a purple blanket, purple dress, a purple sweater and even a purple collar and matching leash with flamingos on it. Her favourite genre of music is classical but enjoys the blues now and then, and has been known to sing-a-long with her family in the car. She loves belly rubs and being brushed daily.

Violets favourite things are her bone, bouncy balls and her blue monster squeaky/crunchy toy. She enjoys going for drives especially to Grandmas house, and never turns down a good old fashioned walk.

Violet enjoys being a Therapy Dog because she understands the value of a good snuggle. She is an excellent listener, and just the right size to sit on an empty lap.
